Applicants with Portuguese descent must be graduating seniors from a participating high school in southeastern Massachusetts or Rhode Island. Eligible students must plan to attend an accredited college or university in the fall following graduation and intend to pursue a career in a healthcare-related field, including any area within the medical profession. In addition, applicants should demonstrate academic excellence, active community involvement, and a strong commitment to entering the healthcare profession.
